Dusty Cyclocross, A Cyclocross Race for Women+ Riders

Dusty Cross is a women’s cyclocross race for anyone who wants to try out one of the most fun, chaotic, and addictive styles of bike racing out there, without the men’s and junior men’s fields in the mix. Just women and non-binary riders, a weird and wonderful course, and a whole lot of good energy.

What is Cyclocross?

Think of it as an obstacle course on a bike. You’ll loop around a course that might include grass, dirt, barriers, off-camber turns, a run-up or two, and whatever else the course designers felt like throwing in.

• Course Features: Grass, dirt, barriers, and off-camber turns.
• Bike Options: Gravel bike, cyclocross bike, or mountain bike.
• Action: Expect to be on the bike, then off the bike and running with it over obstacles.
• Unique Skills: Maybe you’re the unicorn who has the skills to ride them all!

Race Format

The lead rider will complete enough laps to total roughly an hour of racing. Everyone finishes on the leader's lap, so if the leader does 6 laps and you’re on your 5th when she crosses the line, you’re done at 5.

• Lap Count: Total laps depend on the lead rider’s performance.
• Fun Element: Hard to tell who’s winning unless it’s you.
• Duration: Expect roughly an hour of racing.
• Participation: Everyone completes based on the lead rider’s lap.

What to Expect

• No experience necessary: Open to all skill levels.
• Bikes: Gravel, CX, or MTB bikes all welcome.
• Timing: Very unofficial (we're talking pencil and paper).
• Prizes: Podium prizes and extra prizes (TBD!).
• Costumes: Strongly encouraged for participants.
• Community: Bring spectators and snacks for a joyful hand-up.
• Experience: Come for the race, stay for the chaos. A must-see event!
