Marathon's 5K Run for the Scholars

• Course: A fast course with a few slight rolling hills starting and finishing on Main Street in the village of Marathon. USATF Certification NY-070444-JG

📝 Pre-registration

• Register by Mail: Prior to June 14th at a fee of $25: After June 14th a fee of $30 is charged.
• Pick Up: Registrations and race packets can be picked up at the high school.

🗓️ Race Day Entries

• Registration Time: Register up to 30 minutes prior to the start at a fee of $30.
• Location: Registration will be held on the village green in front of the school until 8:30 AM.

👕 Shirts

• Pre-registered Athletes: A True Classic Performance Multi-Colored Shirt is guaranteed.
• Race Day Entries: Shirts available on a first come first serve basis.

🥇 Awards

• Overall Awards: First Place Overall Male and Female.
• Masters Awards: First Place Masters Male and Female.
• Age Groups: Top 3 Finishers in each age group will receive a Race Bag Award. No Duplications of Awards.

👴👵 Age Groups

• Age Categories: Age Groups for Male and Female Runners will be 14 and under then starting at age 15, with ten year increments up to 65 and older.
• Additional Groups: If the race attracts more than 150 pre-race entries by June 1st we will increase the total number of age groups by using five year increments.

🎉 Post Race Celebration

• Awards Ceremony: An awards ceremony will be held after the race.
• Food: Post race foods will be available.

🚻 Facilities

• Restrooms: Available in the High School.

• Available Locations: Parking is available at the high school and Lovell’s Field.
• Respect Signs: Please respect all NO Parking signs.

📍 Directions

• From the North: Exit 38 off Interstate 81.
• From the South: Exit 39 off Interstate 81.
• From the East and West: The Village of Marathon is located on Route 221.
