Indoor Insanity 5K 2027

Event Details

Join us on Sunday, January 10, 2027, for a race event unlike any other in Maine. Get out of the cold and head indoors: no ice underfoot, no frigid gusts in your face, and no snow overhead! Who knew running in circles was so much fun? Music, camaraderie, and running! Walkers welcome.

Why This Matters

Indoor Insanity 5K is a fundraiser to prevent lung cancer. Your race fees help pay for installation of radon mitigation systems in low-income Maine households.

Race Heats

• Heat #1: for the fastest runners (15-20 minutes 5k). Field will be limited to 30 runners. First come, first served sign ups.
• Heat #2: for the intermediate runners (20-27 minute 5k). Field will be limited to 75 runners. First come, first served sign ups.
• Heat #3: for runners of any level willing to take on the chaos of Indoor Insanity.
• Walkers: we have two dedicated lanes for walkers. Walkers start with Heat #1 Runners. Kids Fun Run, too!

Race Timing

The race is professionally chip-timed for accurate individual lap and finish times.

Race Fees

Race fees are for race only. The deadline to purchase race shirts is December 22, 2026. We will have limited quantities available for purchase on the day of the event. First-come, first-served.
