After an incredible 2025 race, we’re excited to invite you back for the Save Your Breath Race & Silent Auction on Sunday, October 18, 2026!

Event Details

• Date: October 18, 2026
• Location: Kennebec Valley YMCA, Augusta, ME
• Website: Save Your Breath 5K
• Racing Options: In-person and virtual run available

New Features

• Timed Walk Division: Walkers can receive an official race bib—register specifically!
• Live Event: A chip-timed event managed by Brian Berkemeyer of Run In A Race.
• Course: Fast, relatively flat out-and-back 5K course along the rail trail.
• Music: Enjoy music at the start/finish line before and after the race.

Awards and Medals

• Finisher's Medal: All participants will receive a finisher's medal!
• Award Ceremony: Begins once all participants have returned to the gym.
• Winners: Must be present to receive their awards.
• T-shirts: Ordered on September 18: registrants after this date will not receive it.

Supporting a Cause

• Fundraiser: Supports Free ME from Lung Cancer’s mission, funding research and resources.
• Community Impact: Provide radon air abatement systems for low-income homeowners.
• Transportation: Offer medical appointment transport across rural communities.
• Patient Support: Ongoing patient support and care.

Discounts Available

• Fundraising: Raise $150.00 or more for free registration—contact Deb for code.
• Running Club Members: $10.00 discount towards registration.
• No T-shirt Discount: $10.00 off for those opting out before the 9/18 deadline.
• Seniors and Veterans: $10.00 off their registration.
