Crozet Trails Crew 5K/10K Trail Run + Family Fun Run

Race Overview

The race is a major fundraiser for the Crozet Trails Crew, a grassroots community organization whose mission is to simply connect Crozet and Western Albemarle with trails and greenways.

Registration Benefits

• Race T-shirt: All registered participants will get a race t-shirt.
• Pancake Breakfast: Participants will enjoy pancakes at the pancake breakfast.
• Improved Timing: Enhanced timing this year for the 5K and 10K.

5K Race Details

• Participant Limit: The 5K course is limited to 250 participants!
• Course Start: The race starts in Crozet Park (on festival grounds by pavilions).
• Trail Conditions: Course continues on the Crozet trail (rustic trail, so plenty of roots, rocks, and ruts) and finishes back at Crozet Park.
• Prizes: Awards for overall male and female: first, second and third (first place male and female get a bridge named in their honor!).

10K Race Details

• Participant Limit: The 10K Trail Race is limited to 75 participants!
• Course Description: It loops by Lickinghole basin, crossing Lickinghole creek (you might get your feet wet).
• Fundraising: We're currently fundraising for a 50-foot bridge to connect the trails here.
• Donation Request: If you can, please donate to help with the bridge.

Family Fun Run

• Course Start: The course starts in Crozet Park and goes by the dog park.
• Trail Extension: After the bridge, turn left on a recent extension of trail (~.75-mile) and back to the park.
• Connection to Downtown: This section will eventually connect the trail to downtown Crozet.
• Free Participation: Kids under 7 years old can participate for free if they are accompanied by a registered participant. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are also welcome.

Post-Race Festival

• Event Time: Join us for a post-race trails fest from 11am - 1pm at the finish.
• Pancake Breakfast: Made from scratch!
• Live Music: Enjoy music from Susie and the Pistols.
• Local Beverages: Starr Hill beer, Henley’s cider, coffee from Yellow Mug.
• Proceeds: All of the proceeds go to Crozet Trails Crew.

Registration and Packet Pick-Up

• On-site Registration: Takes place at Crozet Park on race day at the Crozet Park Pavilion starting at 9am until 9:45am.
• Thursday Packet Pick-Up: There will also be packet pick-up Thursday, October 22 at Starr Hill in Crozet from 6:30 - 8:30pm.
• Race Switching: IF YOU WANT TO SWITCH RACES please come to Thursday packet pickup to let us know.
