NorthPointe's 18th Annual Turkey Trot Family, Friends, Tradition

• Event Date: November 26, 2026

• Goal: To give you a memorable Thanksgiving Day NorthPointe Turkey Trot experience!

Awards and Competition

• Department Award: An award will be presented to the department with the most Turkey Trotters.
• Family/Friend Group Award: An award will be presented to the Family/Friend group with the most Turkey Trotters.
• Awards Mailing: To enjoy more of your Thanksgiving holiday, awards will be mailed.
• Dress Appropriately: This event will take place outdoors: please dress for the Thanksgiving morning weather.

New for Thanksgiving 2026 — The Tiny Trot!

• Description: A ½-mile, non-timed walk/run designed for all ages and abilities.
• Inclusivity: Bringing a wheelchair, stroller, or wagon, everyone can enjoy the NorthPointe Turkey Trot.
• No Pace: There’s no clock to beat, just a fun way to celebrate Thanksgiving morning together.
• Route Details: The Tiny Trot begins at 8:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning.

The Tiny Trot Route

• Starting Point: Begins at NorthPointe campus drive, around NorthPointe Terrace, and onto the trail.
• Accessible Design: The route accommodates wheelchairs, strollers, and participants of all mobility levels.
• Finish Line: Tiny Trotters finish under the NorthPointe Birth Center’s porte cochère.
• Safe Navigation: Participants will safely cross the intersection during the event.

The Birth Center Patio Celebration

• Gathering Place: The patio is ideal for relaxation, warmth, and cheering on Turkey Trot runners.
• Celebration Activities: Enjoy Thanksgiving morning treats around the fire pit.
• Treats: Hot cocoa, chocolate cookies, and bananas with chocolate syrup for dipping.
• Involvement: Everyone is invited to celebrate, be it as a participant or a spectator.

Registration Guidelines

• Advance Registration: Participants must register online in advance: no paper registration will be offered.
• No Race-Day Registration: There will be NO race-day registration for any reason.
• Registration Deadline: Midnight Sunday, November 22, 2026.
• Packet Pickup: Participants must coordinate with someone to pick up their packet if unable to attend pickup days.

Packet Pickup

• Monday, November 23: 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, November 24: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, November 25: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Note: There will be no race day pickup: please coordinate pickup in advance.

Start Line Details

• Tiny Trot Start Time: Begins at 8:00 a.m. (Non-timed).
• Turkey Trot Start Time: Starts at 8:30 a.m. (Chip-timed).
• Timing: Official time starts once you cross the timing equipment (5K only).

On Course 5K Information

• Water Stations: There will be 1 water station on course and 1 at the start/finish line.
• Course Responsibility: Minimal volunteers will be on the course: it's your responsibility to know and run it safely.

Finish Line Instructions

• Finish Area: Please keep moving through the finish area toward the exit.
• Post-Finish: Head back to the south patio for refreshments like hot cocoa and cookies.

Results Information

• Result Posting: Results will not be posted on-site.
• Text Alerts: Participants who opted in will receive a text message with their time.
• Online Results: Results will be updated throughout the event at runsignup.com.
