👟 2nd Annual Footsteps for Families!
Join us on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Harlem High School, Machesney Park, IL 61104 for our 5K Run/Walk, Kids Fun Run & Family Fun Day!
🚸 Take Steps to End Child Abuse, Keep Children Safe & Families Together!
🏃♂️ 5K Run
- Timed race: A timed race for runners of all ages and abilities.
- Medals: Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age category (categories TBA).
- Prizes: Monetary prizes will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers. (1st $100, 2nd $50, 3rd $25).
🚶 Walk Non-Competitive (not timed)
- Family-friendly: Walk for families/participants.
👧 Kids Fun Run/Walk (100 meters, FREE)
- Fun run: A fun run for children of all ages will be run on the safety of the Harlem HS track (100 meters).
- Medals & prizes: All participants will receive a medal and a small prize.
- Age limit: Must be under 10 years old.
- Registration: MUST register and will receive a bib.
🎉 Family Fun Day
- Activities: Enjoy music, free food, games, activities, face painting, giveaways, and more!
ℹ️ Additional Information:
- Course: The 5k course will include the scenic Willow Creek Path.
- Traffic: There will be very few traffic crossings.
- Directions: Specific directions will be sent to every registrant.
- Restrictions: No inline skates or pets please!
