Program Overview
- Collaboration: Playmakers has partnered with Meridian Township Parks Department
- Target Audience: Children in 3rd-6th grades
- Coaching: Good Form Running coaching from certified Playmakers staff
- Training Sessions: 12 sessions with opportunities to compete in area Cross Country races (NEW THIS FALL)
Goals of the Club
- Promote: Fun, healthy, active lifestyles
- Introduction: Kids to the sport of Cross Country
Session Activities
- Warm-up Techniques: Proper dynamic warm-up techniques will be taught
- Running Practices: Good Form Running practices will be introduced
- Games: Participants will play a fun game at each session
- Mileage Goal: Gradually increase to a goal of 2 miles by the end of the program
