Purpose

• Aim: To bring awareness to mental health in Alcona, Alpena, Montmorency, and Presque Isle counties.
• Goal: Reduce the stigma of mental health.
• Organizer: Northeast Michigan Community Mental Health Authority (NeMCMHA).
• Event Format: Chip timed for accurate results.

Course Information

• Accessibility: 2K and 5K routes are wheelchair and stroller accessible.
• 10K Route: Includes streets with curbs that must be crossed twice.
• Participants: Open to all runners/walkers for 2K and 5K: 10K geared toward runners.
• Timing: All participants receive a race bib with chip timers.

Schedule

• 10K Start: 8:30 a.m.
• 2K and 5K Start: 8:45 a.m.
• Registration Deadline: 11:59 p.m. on May 14, 2026.
• Pickup Times: Bib/shirt pickup on May 14 and 15: 7:30 a.m. on race day.

Registration Fees

• Adults (11 & up): $20 with a long-sleeved shirt if registered by April 28.
• Children (11 and under): Free, with an option to purchase a shirt for $20 (must register by April 28).

• Refund Policy: Refunds issued only if the organizer cancels the event.

Awards

• 2K & 10K: Top female, male, and non-binary finisher will receive an award medal.
• 5K: Awards for top finishers in six age brackets (female, male, non-binary).
• Age Brackets: 11 & Under, 12 - 17, 18 - 29, 30 - 44, 45 - 59, 60+.
• Medals: Awarded to top finishers in their respective categories.

• Starting Point: All routes begin and end at 400 Johnson St., Alpena, MI.
• 2K Route: View 2K Route

Logistics

• Bib Pickup: Located at the driveway entrance on 400 Johnson St.
• Parking: Handicap parking at NeMCMHA: general parking at Alpena Community College (ACC).
• Pets: Not allowed for participant safety.
• Weather Policy: Event proceeds rain or shine: delays possible during lightning.
