Bowen Mudder 2026
Get Ready to Get Muddy!
After four wildly successful “mudder” fun runs, Island Pacific School is thrilled to host this beloved family-friendly event again this year. Choose between a 2 or 5K obstacle run.
Event Details
The race kicks off and finishes at Island Pacific School, located on Nexwlélexwm (Bowen Island), the ancestral and unceded territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation).
- Course: Fun, forested course filled with classic “mudder” obstacles designed to immerse participants in the rugged beauty of our coastal temperate rainforest.
- Age: Runners of all ages are welcome.
- Costumes: Costumes and team themes are highly encouraged!
- Purpose: A key fundraiser supporting Island Pacific School’s bursary program, helping ensure accessibility for all students.
Notes
- Shuttle Service: Island Pacific School will provide shuttle bus service (Snug Cove ferry terminal to IPS) from the 8:05a and 9:20a ferries from Horseshoe Bay.
- Registration: Registration & bib number pickup happens in front of the school. Keep your bib for a same-day 20% discount at the Bowen Pub!
- Post-Race Treats: Big thanks to the Bowen General Store for donating post-race hot chocolate and snacks.
- Food Vendor: Medicine Wheels Food Truck will be offering full service with an Indigenous flair.
Fun and Prizes
- Warm-up: We will have a group warm-up to kick off the muddy fun!
- Start Times: The 5K participants will be released first, followed by waves of teams for the 2K fun run.
- Prizes: Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in the 5K event for both under 18 and over 18 year old participants.
- Costume Awards: Awards for best costume and team spirit so come ready for fun!

All proceeds will support the IPS Bursary Fund so please encourage friends and family to participate or sponsor your muddy efforts.
