2027 Death Valley Borax Marathon, Half Marathon, & 10K

Our run is on a spectacular course on the Westside Road in the heart of the Badwater Basin. (See Course Map Below) The NPS has permitted us to run on the northern end of the road to facilitate our marathon, half marathon, & 10K. The half marathon and 10K will be a single out and back. The marathon will do this route twice. The turnaround point is within a few miles of the lowest point (-282 feet) in North America in the Badwater Basin and in the shadow of Telescope Peak (11,043 feet).

This course will be one of the most stunning and beautiful runs that you will ever experience and is surrounded by the vast wilderness of Death Valley. The run starts and finishes at, essentially, sea level elevation. The lowest point on the course is -265 feet. When you start the run, you will be facing Telescope Peak in the Panamint range and, when you return to the finish, you will be facing the magnificent Artist’s Palette.

The desert is beautiful this time of year with mild temperatures; lows at night between 30 and 40 degrees and highs during the day from the low-60s to mid-70s. This is our most spectacular event of the year and well worth the weekend away. Truly, an experience you won't forget.

The event is limited to 250 total participants (due to National Park Service rules) and sells out months in advance so don't wait too long to register!

Registrations are 100% NON-REFUNDABLE , even in the case of a cancellation, but a credit toward a future race will be given if the race is cancelled.
