About this race
Event Overview
The Appleseeds Track Camp is an introduction into the world of Track & Field for kids of all ages. The camp is open to kids from ages 5 to 18. Our camp sessions will be a mix of education, running, and technical events. Campers will experience jumps, hurdles, relays, distance, and sprints.
Kids will be in groups with others their age and will go to 5 stations per practice with their groups. The stations are led by experienced athletes and coaches.
Stations
- Sprints and technique: Focus on speed and form.
- Distance: Running workout tailored to build endurance.
- High Jump: Techniques to soar over the bar.
- Long Jump: Skills to improve jumping distance.
- Hurdles: Techniques to clear hurdles efficiently.
Schedule
- Monday, December 28th: 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
- Tuesday, December 29th: 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
- Wednesday, December 30th: 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Competition
We will be competing in the Indiana Runner Indoor Track Meet on January 9th at Taylor University. Each camper will receive a free entry for one event in the meet.
