Skippin & Sippin PHun Walk

Event Overview

Proudly partnered with LuLu's Gulf Shores and Parrot Heads in Paradise (PHIP), Inc., Skippin & Sippin, Inc. welcomes Parrot Heads from across the country to Gulf Shores each October for the Annual Skippin & Sippin PHun Walk during Meeting of the Minds.

• Tradition: What began as the dream of one remarkable Mermaid Sister has grown into a meaningful tradition with a morning filled with hope, phriendship, and giving back.
• Community: This event brings together runners, walkers, bralunteers, breast cancer patients and survivors, sponsors, and supporters who believe in making a difference.
• Impact: Every registration helps provide hope, meaningful assistance, and lasting support to breast cancer patients throughout Gulf Shores, surrounding communities, and eligible Parrot Head members in good standing nationwide.
• Date: Scheduled for October 24, 2026.

2026 Event Updates

• Route Change: Due to changes associated with commercial air service and the resulting increase in traffic in the area, our traditional 5K route is no longer available for this year's event.
• New Format: We have made the decision to transition our traditional 5K into the 2026 Skippin & Sippin PHun Walk.
• Location: Keeping Skippin & Sippin at LuLu's Gulf Shores was incredibly important to us.
• Route Details: Our proposed PHun Walk route will be just shy of one mile and will begin and end at LuLu's.

Event Schedule

• 7:45 AM to 8:30 AM: Check In and Silent Auction
• 8:30 AM to 8:45 AM: Warmup, Pledge and Benediction
• 8:45 AM: Patient/Survivor Walk
• 9:00 AM: Skippin & Sippin PHun Walk

Following the PHun Walk, enjoy the Pink Parrot-Ice Toast, post PHun Walk Party and Lunch at LuLu's, Awards and Recognition, and LuLu's Second Line.

Registration Pricing

• Early Bird: Through August 13, $30 (Ages 13+), $25 (Ages 12 & Under)
• Standard Registration: August 14 through October 9, $35 (Ages 13+), $30 (Ages 12 & Under)
• Final Registration: October 10 through October 23, $40 (Ages 13+), $35 (Ages 12 & Under) – T-shirt not guaranteed.
• Day-of Registration: Available at the Race Week prices listed above.

Additional Options

• Virtual Participant: $30 ($7.50 shipping fee applies at checkout).
• Shirt Only: $28
• No Shirt Option: Subtract $2 from registration total.
• Shirt Deadline: To guarantee a shirt on race day, register by October 9, 2026.

Awards and Recognition

• No Timed Awards: This year’s event will not include traditional timed 5K age group awards.
• Fundraising Recognition: Team fundraising and team awards will continue as planned.
• Spirit Award: Recognition for the Susan Radomski Spirit Award, along with costume recognition and additional event awards.
• Upcoming Details: More details on awards and recognition will be announced closer to the event.

If you registered before the transition from the 5K to the PHun Walk, your registration has automatically transferred to the 2026 Skippin & Sippin PHun Walk.
