Early Packet Pick Up

• Date and Location: Packet pickup at the Jack Stockton Building on 9/18/26 from 5-8pm. 404 Donell Drive, Calera, OK 74730.

Race Day Agenda

• 7:30am: Check-In/Registration opens at Jack Stockton Building (5K, Fun Run and Bike Races).
• 8:00: 5K and Fun Run Registration Closes.
• 8:00: Opening Ceremonies.
• 8:30: 5K Begins.
• 8:35: 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk Begins.
• 9:30: 5K Awards.
• 10:00: Balance Bike Races Begin.

Enjoy morning drinks and treats from Small Town Beverage Co. and Honey Girl Cookie Co. at the Jack Stockton Building.

Bowman’s Buddies—Kids Zone

• Activities: Balance bike races (Stacyc and Strider type bikes).
• Early Arrival: For 5K opening ceremonies at 8 am is encouraged to avoid road closures.
• Pre-Registration: For the balance bike race, complete the following form: Balance Bike Race Registration.
• Fun Activities: Triple R Bounce Co. is bringing the fun by setting up bounce houses.

Car Show - Calera High School

• Registration Time: 9:00-10:00 Register upon arrival.
• Registration Fee: $15 Fee.
• Voting Opens: 10:00.
• Food Trucks: Honey Girl Cookie Co., Small Town Beverage Co., Rollin Stove Hibachi and Sushi Express.

Our Reason & Mission

Our mission is to honor Bowman James' legacy by inspiring faith and service through community improvements, educational opportunities, and Christian ministry work.

Bowman James Forbis is a forever 4-year-old that left us with a lasting legacy to "Finish Your Race." Bo's legacy is to always get back up and finish the race. Since he was just 2 years old, Bowman raced electric bikes until he was skilled enough to race dirt bikes. The "Finish Your Race" story comes from one of Bowman's races. In that race, he was in first place when he wrecked his bike and flew over the handlebars. With some encouragement from his father, Bo got back on his bike and finished his race. He placed fourth in that race and went on to win the championship for his race series. Bo was later in an accident (unrelated to dirt bikes) where he went on to be with his Heavenly Father. Bowman's story to press on to finish the race gained eternal meaning as we relate his story to Philippians 3:14 "I press on to reach the end of the race to receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us."

Bowman's mother, Kanda, has shared his story in the form of a children's book that can be purchased through her website: Finish Line Publications. Proceeds from her children's book "Finish Your Race" support the Bowman James Foundation.

It is our mission to continue to share Bowman's legacy to encourage people to "Finish Your Race" no matter what challenges life brings.
