About the Event

Join us for a joyful evening of community, fitness, and remembrance at the Seton Catholic School Ben Mourer Memorial Youth Cross Country Invitational, benefiting the Seton Catholic School Community cross country and track programs.

• Opportunity: Seton School offers the opportunity for all children to be a part of our Grade K-8 cross-country and track team.
• Eligibility: Children on the team do not have to be enrolled at Seton School to participate.
• Funding: Funds raised through this event allow us to offer the opportunity FREE OF CHARGE to all who wish to join us!

Event Details

• Date: FRIDAY, September 25, 2026
• Location: Allegheny College, Roberson Athletic Complex. 204 Park Ave, Meadville, PA 16335
• Time: Online registration is open now. Day-of registration begins at 4:30 PM.

Race Features

• Races: 1-Mile and 2-Mile Races (Grades K–8)
• Preschool Run: Preschool Fun Run for our youngest runners
• Awards: Medals and trophies, exciting refreshment opportunities, and more!
• Atmosphere: Family-friendly atmosphere with music, cheering, and make sure to rock your school's spirit wear and make sure to bring all of your school spirit!

All proceeds from the event will directly support Seton Catholic School’s Community youth cross country and track programs, helping us continue to grow strong, confident student-athletes.

In Memory of Coach Ben Mourer

This invitational is held in loving memory of Coach Ben Mourer, whose legacy as a mentor, coach, and man of deep character continues to inspire all who knew him. Ben devoted over nine years as the head track and field coach at Allegheny College, where his influence extended far beyond the track. His love for running was matched only by his passion for building community and character in the young people he coached.

Ben’s memory lives on in every child who laces up their shoes, in every mile run with purpose, and in every team that becomes a family.
