Run, Walk & Roll to Independence

Event Overview

• Purpose: This event promotes outdoor recreation for people of all levels of physical abilities.
• Inclusivity: Wheelchair and hand crank bike racers are welcome.
• Beneficiary: Net proceeds will benefit ECU Health Rehabilitation Services, where we are committed to helping adults and children reclaim their lives.

Event Features

• Timing: This year's race will feature chip timing.
• Entertainment: Enjoy finish line music.
• Refreshments: Complimentary refreshments will be provided.
• Kids' Dash: A free 100-yard kids' dash will take place!

Entry Fees

• 5K: Early bird fee is $25 by September 18th: $30 after and on race day, $35. ALL registrants will receive a T-shirt.
• 1 Mile: Entry fee is $10.
• Kids Dash: Free for youth 10 years old and younger: starts at 8:45 am.

Waivers

• Fee Waivers: Entry fees are waived for wheelchair, hand-crank, or participants using mobility assistive devices.
• Team Members: Ainsley’s Angels team members also receive waived fees.

Awards

• Ceremony: Award ceremony begins at 10 AM: all finishers receive their time and placing.
• 5K Awards: Top male, top female overall, top three finishers in each 5K age group, and wheelchair and hand crank bike top finishers receive medals.
• 1 Mile Awards: 1st place male, female, wheelchair racer, and hand crank bike racer.
• Team Awards: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place top teams: Most Team Spirit Award.

• Online Registration: Registration is available online.
• In-Person Registration: Available on the morning of the race from 8:00-8:45am promptly.
