Join us for the 14th Annual Run For Your Life 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run on Saturday, October 31, 2026, in historic Downtown Tarboro! Lace up your running shoes—or walking shoes!—for a morning full of community spirit, celebration, and purpose.

About the Charity

This event is the signature fundraiser for the Edgecombe Cancer Support Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to providing financial assistance to Edgecombe County residents undergoing cancer treatment. While many assume that cancer patients’ needs are fully covered, the reality is different—rising treatment costs, insurance gaps, and day-to-day living expenses leave many in our community struggling.

• Proceeds: 100% of race proceeds go directly to local people with cancer.
• Volunteer Efforts: Administered by a team of passionate volunteers, these funds help ease the burden on our neighbors so they can focus on healing.

• Sponsor deadline: 9/30/2026
• T-shirt size guarantee: 9/30/2026
• In Memory/Honor Sign purchase deadline: 9/30/26, through ECSF Website (edgecombecancer.org)
• Online registration closes: October 29, 2026, at 11:59 PM (Cost increases by $5 after online registration closes.)
• In-person registration: on 10/30 or 10/31 at packet pick up site, TBC ($5 cost increase | cash, card, check)

• Friday(10/30/26): 5-8 PM at Tarboro Brewing Company (526 N Main Street, Tarboro, NC)
• Saturday(10/31/26): 7:00-8:30 AM at Tarboro Brewing Company (526 N Main Street, Tarboro, NC)

Race Awards

• Overall Awards: Top 3 Overall Male/Female
• Age Category Awards: Top 2 Male/Female in each age categories: 15 & under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over

Charity Concert

Join us Friday, October 30, from 6–9 PM at TBC for a high-energy evening in support of the Edgecombe Cancer Support Foundation. We’ll have music and a raffle to keep things exciting! TBC will be pouring drinks and a local food truck will be on site. Bring your friends and your giving spirit—donations are welcome and appreciated.

All proceeds from the Run For Your Life events support the Edgecombe Cancer Support Foundation and, ultimately, Edgecombe County residents fighting cancer!
