Event Overview
Welcome to the 1st Annual Piney Woods Quad County Bicycle Challenge—a thrilling cycling adventure through the heart of East Texas! This unique challenge blends elevation with navigation as riders race to collect as many counties as they can. Whether you're taking on the 25-mile Du, the 45-mile Tri, or the full metric century Quad challenge, you'll experience the stunning beauty of the Piney Woods countryside, conquer backcountry roads and four-lane highways, tackle demanding hill climbs, and skirt the serene shores of our gorgeous lake. Beneficiary
Proceeds from this event will benefit the William Foster Lodge Scholarship Fund, which has proudly supported graduating seniors from Frankston ISD and La Poynor ISD for many years. With your participation, we aim to provide scholarships to eight or more students this year, helping them pursue college or trade school dreams through the power of community and cycling.

Routes
- Quad County Metric Century: 65 mile route will travel through Anderson, Cherokee, Smith, and Henderson County
- Tri County: 45 mile route will travel through Anderson, Cherokee and Smith County
- Duo County: 25 mile route will travel through Anderson and Cherokee counties
- Note: Routes subject to change if the Dam is closed. Routes will be well marked with signs, Share the Road signs, and pavement tape.

Aid Stations
- Provisions: They will be stocked with water, electrolytes, bananas, orange slices, and a variety of other items.
- Bathroom Facilities: There will be no portapotties at the aid stations: however, the athlete guide will highlight gas station bathrooms.
- Duo Route: Will pass an aid station twice.
- Tri Route: Will pass 4 aid stations.
- Quad Route: Will pass 5 stations.
Day of Schedule
- Packet Pickup: Open at 6:30am and close at 8am
- Mass Start: 8am
- Finish Line Party: Opens at 9am
- Course Closes: 1pm
Swag
Each participant will receive a swag bag with goodies and a t-shirt courtesy of our sponsors. If you are a virtual participant, you can either pick your bag and shirt up on site, OR your shirt will be mailed to you after the event. Must register by April 15th to be guaranteed an included shirt. After that point, shirts will be available for purchase at checkout and will be shipped within 30 days.
KOM/QOM Alert
KOM/QOM segments are expected to populate on Strava — just search “Piney Woods” to find them and start scouting your targets.
Cash Prize
A cash prize will be awarded for KOM/QOM on the 65-mile (Quad County) route ONLY. The Tri & Duo routes still bring the fun with special prizes, so everyone has a shot at taking something home!

Athlete Drawing
Thanks to sponsors we have some fabulous giveaways featured on our social media page. Must be present at the start line to win. You will receive raffle tickets when you check-in, and you can pick up prizes after the event.
Finish Line Party
Join us after the ride for music, burgers, refreshments, and special desserts courtesy of our event sponsors.
Cancellation Policy
This is a non-refundable event as all donations and registrations are for our scholarship fund. However, if we have rain, we will post a rain delay if needed for rider safety. If there are thunderstorms, we will cancel but still have the finish line party and packet pickup for those who came to town. Stay tuned to our Facebook Page for updates.
Registration Limit
Currently, our registration is capped at 250 due to parking constraints. Don't miss out! Get registered early.
