Event Overview
Death by 5k is coming BACK to beautiful Tyler State Park!
Challenge Details
- Duration: 24 hours
- Distance: Ten 5ks, starting one every 2.5 hours
- Schedule: First 5k starts at 8 am, subsequent starts at 10:30, 1, 3:30, 6, 8:30, 11, 1:30, 4, and 6:30 am
- Requirements: Participants must finish each 5k prior to the next's start
Location and Trail Conditions
- Venue: Tyler State Park's Blackjack camping area
- Terrain: Dirt trails featuring rocks, roots, and possible mud
- Route Length: Approximately 3.6 miles
- Illumination: Headlamps or handheld lights required
Participant Amenities
- Rest Area: Sleeping in cars or tents in the Blackjack camping area
- Food Service: Hot food at scheduled times and snacks available
- Drinks: Water and mixed Gatorade provided
- Swag: Event shirt and additional goodies for participants
Registration Information
- Capacity: Limited to 150 participants
- Waitlist: Enabled once capacity is reached
- Camping: Tent camping only at race HQ; campers need to reserve campsites
- Park Fees: Day use fee required upon entrance, payable online or at the park
