A New Chapter in Our Longstanding Thanksgiving Tradition
- Event Collaboration: In 2026, the Will Run for Pie 5K is joining forces with the Newburyport Maudslay Turkey Trot for one Thanksgiving morning race at Maudslay State Park.
- Partnership: Winners Circle Running Club is partnering with Joppa Flats Running Club to support this year’s event.
- Future Stewardship: Beginning in 2027, WCRC will take stewardship of the Maudslay Turkey Trot, preserving a Thanksgiving tradition for future generations.
- Event Change: There will not be a separate Will Run for Pie race in Salisbury this year. We invite all participants to join us at Maudslay!
2026 Newburyport Maudslay Turkey Trot 5K Details
- Date: Thanksgiving Day — Thursday, November 26, 2026
- Start Time: 8:20 AM
- Location: Maudslay State Park, Curzon Mill Road, Newburyport, MA
- Distance: 5K cross-country run/walk
Event Characteristics
- Family-Friendly: The Maudslay Turkey Trot is an affordable event welcoming participants of all ages and abilities.
- Charitable Contributions: One hundred percent of net proceeds are donated to local charities.
- Supported Organizations: Benefiting local organizations including Our Neighbors’ Table, The Pettengill House, and area food pantries.
Registration Fees
- Adults: Ages 18 and older - $32
- Students: Age 18 and younger - $27
- Bresnahan School Running Club: Students Pre-K through Grade 3 - $20
- Shirt Availability: The first 900 registered participants will receive a race shirt. Online registration closes Wednesday, November 25 at 10:00 AM.
Bib and Shirt Pickup
- Early Pickup: Wednesday, November 25, from 4:00–7:00 PM at RiverWalk Brewing Company. Enjoy live music, craft beer, hard seltzer, and pub food.
- Thanksgiving Morning: Pickup begins at 7:00 AM at the white garage across from the parking lot at Maudslay State Park.
