About this race
GAAY Sports Fall Bash & Pride 5K Run/Walk | Saturday, November 7, 2026
Join GAAY Sports for a special Saturday celebrating movement, community, and Pride!
This year, the GAAY Sports Run/Walk Club is bringing the community together for an in-person 5K Run/Walk and Fall Bash in celebration of the 2026 Pride 5K.
The Pride 5K is a nationwide virtual event taking place on November 7. Participants across the country are invited to run, walk, or complete a 5K wherever they are, and organizations and communities are encouraged to come together and host local events.
To officially participate in the national Pride 5K and receive the official 2026 Pride 5K shirt, you will need to purchase your Pride 5K shirt directly through the Pride 5K website. If you purchase a shirt, please wear to the event! It is recommended you purchase your shirt by Friday, October. 30 to receive by Nov. 7.
You do not need to purchase the Pride 5K shirt to attend the GAAY Sports event.
The 2026 Pride 5K is fundraising for Point of Pride, a nonprofit providing financial assistance and direct support to transgender people seeking gender-affirming health and wellness care.
We ask that you register for the GAAY Sports simply for our local gathering so we can plan for participants and manage the event.
Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or somewhere in between, you're invited. Come run, walk, cheer each other on, meet new people, and spend some time together after the 5K.
The 5K
We'll have a designated 5K route at Hawk Island, with the run/walk beginning at 10 AM .
Run it. Walk it. Take it easy. Make it social. However you complete your 5K, you're welcome here.
This is a community-focused event rather than a professionally timed race, so participants are welcome to track their own time using their preferred running app or watch.
Fall Bash
Stick around after the 5K for food, drinks, and time to hang out with the GAAY Sports community!
This is more than a Saturday run, it's an opportunity to bring together our Run/Walk Club, GAAY Sports members, friends, family, and allies for a fun fall gathering.
Who Can Participate?
Everyone is welcome! GAAY Sports Run/Walk Club members, other GAAY Sports members, friends, family, LGBTQ+ community members, and allies.
You don't need to be a member of the GAAY Run/Walk Club to participate.
Run together. Walk together. Show up as yourself.
Event Cost:
Participation in our Pride 5K Run/Walk and the Fall Bash is completely free! If you'd like to contribute, optional donations help cover event setup, food, and other gathering expenses.
Suggested donation: $10 (but any amount is appreciated!)
Any funds remaining after event expenses will be donated to Point of Pride, supporting their work to provide gender-affirming care to trans people in need.
Thank you for helping make this event possible!
