ALGER HEIGHTS HALLOWEEN 5K

The Alger Heights Halloween 5k is a volunteer-led, neighborhood-focused race with a small-town feel in the heart of a big city. We're an event built around community, inclusion, and giving back to the neighborhood we call home.

Whether you're chasing your next PR, enjoying a leisurely jog, or strolling through the neighborhood in costume, there's a place for you at the starting line! All 5K participants are chip-timed as they make their way through the scenic streets of Alger Heights during peak fall color.

We're excited to be back in 2027 for our 15th edition on Saturday, October 30! Come run, jog, walk, or stroll with us—with costumes strongly encouraged!

The 5K is just one part of a much larger neighborhood celebration. Once again, we'll be offering a variety of FREE activities open to everyone, with no race registration required! Activities will include our Community Costume Contest, Neighborhood Cheer Contest, trick-or-treating in the Alger Heights Business District, and more. Whether you're running, cheering from the sidelines, or simply enjoying the festivities, there's something for everyone.
