The Amway River Bank Run, presented by Fifth Third with Corewell Health as the Official Health Partner, is held every year in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan on the second Saturday of May.

• Date: May 8, 2027
• Location: Ottawa Avenue and Lyon Street (Start Line), Grand Rapids, MI
• Anniversary: Celebrating 50 years
• Race Feature: The largest 25K road race in the country

Race Events

• Distances: 25K road race, USA 25 km Open Championships, 25K Handcycle, 25K Wheelchair, 10K Run, 5K Run, 5K Community Walk
• Virtual Options: Complete the distance of your choice on any course between May 1 and May 31
• Extended Finishing Times: Virtual events have flexible cutoffs unlike in-person events
• Commemorative Swag: High-quality race shirts, premium medals, and a virtual race bib

Event History

• Inception: First annual Old Kent River Bank Run was in 1978 with just over 1,000 runners
• Name Change: Renamed to Amway River Bank Run in 2019 when Amway became the title sponsor
• Ownership Transition: Riverbank Events and Media took ownership in 2018
• Community Support: Involvement from Amway, Fifth Third Bank, and Corewell Health ensures a thriving event
