Race Overview

• Distance: 1 mile, straight up.
• Timing: This will be a chip timed hill climb.
• Start Location: San Joaquin River Trailhead in South Finegold picnic area (Millerton Lk SRA: end of Sky Harbor Rd).
• Finish Location: The top of Pincushion Mountain.

Awards

• Top Finishers: Special prize for the Top 3 Male and Female finishers.
• Age Groups: Winners will receive awards.
• Clydesdale/Athena Division: Winners will also receive awards.
• All Runners: Participants will receive a custom finisher award and event shirt.

Mountain Goat Edition

• Challenge: The Mountain Goat race is for those who like to go the extra mile or miles.
• First Run: Your first run up will be timed and scored for the regular event.
• Time Limit: You have until 12pm (4hrs total) to complete as many trips up to Pincushion Peak as possible.
• Descent Rules: First trip down must be the long way (just over 1.5 miles): after that, you may descend the same route to the top.

Eligibility

• Minimum Trips: You must complete at least 2 trips to the top in order to be considered a Mountain Goat.
• Awards: Participants will receive a special finishers award.
• Top Runners: The top Male & Female runners will receive an additional award.
