Rails-to-Trails 5k

Race Location

• Event Date: May 16, 2026
• Address: 300 East Church Street, Barnesville, OH
• Course: Tentatively returning to the traditional course near the newly remodeled Depot & Tunnel area on East Church & Railroad Streets.
• Note: If Tunnel repairs are not completed as scheduled, the race will be held at Barnesville High School. Updates will be provided by May 1st.

Trophy Distribution

• Categories: Nearly 150 trophies in various divisions including a Masters division in both the Run and Walk.
• Special Divisions: Unique Dog-Walking Division and Hand Cyclist/Wheelchair Division.
• Age Groups: Scores of age groups available for participants.
• Design: Beautifully hand-crafted trophies featuring an authentic railroad spike, once mentioned in Runner's World magazine.

Food Options

• Menu: A huge smorgasbord of delicious food including pizza, homemade Carlito's subs, deli-fresh sandwiches.
• Desserts: Donley’s Delicious Delights homemade cookies and Jessica’s famous pasta salad.
• Food Guarantee: If you leave this race hungry, it’s your own fault!
• Expected Participants: Approximately 200 participants overall.

• Door Prizes: Lots of door prizes, improving your odds of winning!
• Registration Perks: First 200 registrants guarantee a Tech shirt: sizes only guaranteed to Early Bird preregistered.
• Availability: After the first 200, shirts are first come, first serve.
• Shirt Reorders: Shirts can be reordered if registration numbers dictate.

Kids Fun Run

• Participation: Parents are encouraged to stick around after the 5k for the Kids Fun Run.
• Trophies for All: All kids win a trophy!
• Race Format: Kids run in waves, from oldest to youngest.
• Special Guests: Kids are greeted at the Finish Line by Spike, the Wheeling Nailers Mascot!
