Race Description
- Annual Event: Our 4th Annual Firecracker 10K & 5K Race and 5K Fun Run & Walk are out and back events held entirely on the paved Great Guernsey Trail.
- Entertainment: There will also be music, food, and entertainment!
- Timing: This will be a bib timed race with timing services provided by Muskingum Multisports.
- Proceeds: Proceeds from the race will go towards supporting the many programs and projects of the Guernsey County Community Development Corp.
Race Course
- Route: The 10K and 5K Race & 5K Fun Run & Walk are entirely on the paved Great Guernsey Trail.
- Starting Point: The route starts at the Cambridge end and follows the trail to each turnaround and then returns to the trail head.
- Scenic Path: This is a scenic, traffic-free route that follows Leatherwood Creek.
- Water Stations: There will be water at the turnarounds as well as refreshments and food at the finish line.
Awards
- Trophies: Unique Trophies will be issued to the top three overall finishers.
- Medals: Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each of the following age categories: 14-under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
- Welcome Walkers: Walkers are welcome!
- Finishers’ Medals: Finishers’ medals will be awarded to ALL participants!
Registration Details
- Packet Pick-Up: Race Day registration and Packet pick-up will be at the registration building starting at 6:30 a.m.
- Location: 63500 Corduroy R. Cambridge, Ohio.
- Race Packet: Your race packet will include a T-shirt with race logo, swag and more.
- Shirt Guarantee: All participants registered by June 19th are guaranteed a race T-shirt.
Entry Fees
- 5k Fun Run & Walk: $30.00 through July 3rd – Day of Entry $35.00
- 5k Run: $35.00 through July 3rd – Day of Entry $40.00
- 10k Run: $40.00 through July 3rd – Day of Entry $45.00
- Mail Registration: Registration forms and fee made out and mailed to: Guernsey County CDC P.O. Box 1175 Cambridge, Ohio 43725 memo 2024 Firecracker Race.
