River's Edge Endurance Challenge

🏃‍♂️Race Overview

• Registration Deadline: To be sure you get a T-Shirt you must Register before 9/3/2026. If you register after 9/3/2026 11:59PM you may not get the size you want or even a shirt at all.
• Medal Availability: Race Medals must be ordered ahead of time. Those who register after 8/15/2026 may not get a medal due to limited supplies.
• Event: Simply sign up for an in-person race or challenge, show up at race, check in and race in our 8th Annual River's Edge Endurance Challenge!
• Race Formats: Last year we changed our 5 mile race to 5K (3.1 Mile) race and it was a hit! Our 3-hour challenge and a 6-hour challenge remain the same, using a 5 mile loop.

🗺️Course Information

• Map: Here is a link to a map of our in-person race. 5 mile loop.
• Location: In person, the lower practice fields in between Brunswick High School and Brunswick Middle School.
• Course Description: All races feature about 1 mile on school property with the rest being on run in the River's Edge Trail system. Both 5K and 5-mile loops are well marked.
• Event Date: The race will take place on September 26, 2026.

💲Registration Fees

• 5K (3.1 miles): $35
• 3-HOUR Run: $50
• 6-HOUR Run: $60
• Profit Allocation: 100% of the race fees is used to purchase shirts, medals, race support items like food, and the rest supports Brunswick High School Track in purchasing much needed new equipment.

📅Race Schedule

• Sign-in: Pre-Register now to save: in-person Race Sign in for all races is from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM.
• Random Drawings: 7:45 AM for free gifts.
• Challenge Start Times: 3-Hour and 6-Hour Challenges start at 8:00 AM: 5K starts at 8:30 AM.

🏆Prizes

• Gift Cards: Gift Cards will be awarded via random drawing—two gift certificates per race!
• Donations: The River's Edge Endurance Challenge is sponsored by the Brunswick High School Athletic Boosters, a nonprofit 501(c)(3).
• Fundraising: All Monies raised will be dedicated to the purchase of much needed equipment which is not otherwise funded by Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS).
• Tax Deductibility: All donations and registration fees are fully tax deductible.
