Race Overview

Join us for the 8th Annual River's Edge Endurance Challenge on September 26, 2026, at Brunswick Middle School, Brunswick, MD. Experience the thrill of endurance racing on the scenic River's Edge Trail system.

Registration Information

• T-Shirt Deadline: To be sure you get a T-Shirt you must Register before 9/3/2026. If you register after 9/3/2026 11:59PM you may not get the size you want or even a shirt at all.
• Medal Ordering: Race Medals must be ordered ahead of time. Those who register after 8/15/2026 may not get a medal due to limited supplies.
• Signing Up: Simply sign up for an in person race or challenge, show up at race, check in and race!
• Online Registration: Online registration is open through September 26, 2025, up to race sign in deadline at 8:00 AM. All pre-registered participants will receive a Shirt, unique REEC Finisher medal and other giveaways on race day.

Race Details

• Race Start Times: Random drawings for free gifts is at 7:45 AM. The 5K & 3-Hour and 6-Hour Challenges ALL start at 8 a.m.
• Location: In Person, the lower practice fields in between Brunswick High School and Brunswick Middle School.
• Course Description: The 3 & 6 Hour endurance challenges include about 1 mile on Brunswick High School property with the remainder on the River's Edge Trail system. The 5K course is primarily on trails.
• Entrance Fee: 5K (3.1 miles) Run - $35, 3-HOUR Run - $50, 6-HOUR Run - $60. Price goes up after September 24th.

Support and Contributions

100% of the race fees is used to purchase shirts, medals, and race support items like food. The remainder supports Brunswick High School Track in purchasing necessary new equipment. This is a non-profit race and as such, there will be no refunds.

Prizes

Gift Cards will be awarded via random drawing--two gift certificates per race!

Sponsorship Information

The River's Edge Endurance Challenge is sponsored by the Brunswick High School Athletic Boosters, a nonprofit 501(c)(3). This event serves as a fundraiser for the Brunswick High School Track and Field program, with all proceeds dedicated to purchasing much-needed equipment not funded by Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS). All donations and registration fees are fully tax deductible.
