Roopville Hornet 5K

Race Overview

We are hitting a big milestone this year. Be a part of the 15th Annual Roopville Hornet 5K race on Saturday, September 19, 2026. This certified course offers the fun racing experience in Roopville with scenic rolling hills and pasture lands near the downtown. Proceeds benefit the PTO of Roopville Elementary School. If you are registering as a student between the ages of 1-17 the price is automatically reduced to $15 and applied during the online check-out for the 5K race.

Schedule

• Packet Pickup: Friday at the elementary school from 2:20-5 pm and beginning race day at 7 am.
• Race Day Registration: 7 am
• Dash to the Finish: 8:00 am
• Roopville Hornet 5K: 8:30 am

• Food Options: Pelican's Sno Balls and local food truck.
• Parking: Available behind the elementary school.
• USATF Certification: This race is USATF Certified Course: GA21017WC! Making it a Peachtree Road Race qualifier!
• Awards: Given in various male and female age divisions based on chip timing.

Awards & Prizes

• Age Divisions: 9 and under, 10-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
• Overall Awards: Top Overall Male and Female Finisher based upon gun time.
• Dash to the Finish Awards: Top three finishers and ribbons to all competitors.
• Prize Drawings: Exciting drawings for prizes following the race!

Race Shirt

Race t-shirts are available to all pre-registered 5K runners. Participants that register by 8/22/2026 are guaranteed a race shirt. If registering after this date does not guarantee correct shirt size or shirt may not be available. Register early for an awesome race shirt to support and market Roopville Elementary School!

Event Policy

Race Day festivities are a fundraising event and planned whether rain or shine. No refunds available as this is considered a donation to the RES PTO.
