Run 2 Save Our Youth

Race Overview

Join in the fun of the annual Run 2 Save Our Youth, 5k Run/Walk on May 30th, 2026. Sponsored by the Livonia Police Department and Livonia Save Our Youth Coalition, the event takes place at Livonia City Hall. We have a lot of exciting things planned for this year!

Activities

• Certified 5K course: Enjoy a professionally measured route.
• Prizes: Awards for top finishers in various categories.
• Live DJ: Experience upbeat entertainment with a strolling selfie cam.
• Food Trucks: Bearclaw coffee & smoothie truck and Jimmy John’s subs available.

Additional Attractions

• Face Painting: Fun activities for kids.
• Hot Dog Station: Hosted by the Livonia Firefighters Charity Foundation, serving free hot dogs for participants and volunteers.
• Water Stations: Small cups of water available at the halfway mark and at the finish, hosted by Samantha Lewis Agency, Farmer’s Insurance.
• Nonprofit Expo Tent: Explore various community organizations.

• March 1st to May 22nd: $25
• May 23rd to May 29th: $35
• Note: There is NO race day registration.
• Discounts: Ages 18 and under and Seniors 60+: $5 discount, applied during checkout.

Family and Group Discounts

• Family Discount: Save $3 per person when you register 3 or more people at the same time.
• Run for FREE: Details below!
• Team Participation: Organize a crew of family, friends, or co-workers.

Awards

Overall Male/Female winners will receive $50 VISA Gift Cards. Each age category winner (from under 9 to over 80) will receive a $25 VISA Gift Card. Overall winners are excluded from age groups for awards.

Registration Details

• Early Registration: Friday, May 29th, 12-6 at the Livonia Rec Center, 15100 Hubbard, Livonia, MI 48154.
• Race Day Registration: Begins at 8:00 am at Livonia City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Dr, Livonia, MI 48154.

Timing

The race will be professionally chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted during the race and online HERE.
