• Event: 4-Mile Run for the River
• Date: Sunday, May 3, 2026
• Time: 10:00 am (Walkers begin at 9:45 a.m.)
• Location: Start/Finish at Franklin Township Fire Department Station 3

Course Details

• Type: Scenic loop course
• Scenery: Passes streams, pastures, historic buildings, and the beautiful Musconetcong River
• Terrain: Mostly flat course
• Options: Participants may choose to run or walk

Awards

• Categories: First 3 male and first 3 female in various age categories, including 14 & under, 15-20, 21-25, 26-30, and others up to 65+
• Overall: Best overall runner will also receive a medal

Fundraising Purpose

• Beneficiary: Musconetcong Watershed Association (MWA)
• Founded: Formed by residents of Musconetcong Valley in 1992
• Mission: Protect and improve the Musconetcong River and its watershed resources
• Activities: Education and outreach programs, river cleanups, and stream bank restoration projects
