Running THE AVE 5K

Since 2019 the RTA5K has delivered a great race experience for runners of all levels on an epic course through the states largest city. This is a can't-miss summer race for Cumberland County.

🏆 Awards and Recognition

• Special Awards: for fastest Male, Female, and Kid from Vineland and the True Grit Award for our LAST PLACE FINISHER.
• Top Finishers: Awards to Top 3 Overall and in Age Groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, and 10 year age groups up to 70+.
• New Divisions: NEW Stroller & Racing Chair Divisions: Awards to the top 3 Stroller and Racing Chair Runners!
• Special Registration Fee: Registration fee for runners 18 & under is only $10.

📅 Race Day Details

• Packet Pickup: Pre-race packet pickup and race day registration will open at 7:30 am.
• Online Registration: Race day registration and payment is done online via QR code. No cash or checks accepted.
• Registration Closing: Race day registration will close at 8:50 to ensure an on time start of 9:00 am - NO EXCEPTIONS. Pre-registered runners can still check in until 8:55.

RTA5K is the official race of Vinelands Running Movement and 2025 will be its eighth year of bringing the community together. We pride ourselves on offering a family friendly race that welcomes and celebrates runners of all experience and ability - a true representation of the diverse population of Cumberland County.

👥 About the Organizers

• Vineland Downtown Improvement District: promotes, enhances and revitalizes historic Landis Avenue as a thriving commercial district and community-gathering place for shoppers, residents and visitors.
• Second Capital Running: was formed in Vineland 2018 to make the vision of the Running The Ave 5K into reality, and now manages over 25 races in all corners of South Jersey with the mission of cultivating strong community action and leadership through the sport of running.

We are honored to work alongside Main Street Vineland for the sixth year of our hometown race.
