🕊️ Honoring Sgt. Christopher Hampton
- Memory: On November 25th, 2020, our Dearborn Police family lost our colleague Sgt. Christopher Hampton to suicide.
- Legacy: Chris was a wonderful human being, a caring friend, a loving son, brother, father, and an amazing Police Officer.
- Awareness: The run/walk was established in 2021 to raise awareness for mental health issues, especially among first responders.
- Community Support: The event has been supported heavily by the community through sponsorship, volunteering, and participation.
🎉 Event Themes and Success
- Previous Themes: Past themes included Robo Cop, Back to the Future, and Ghostbusters, bringing fun and connection.
- 2024 Success: The 4th 5K was the biggest and best so far, continuing to celebrate Chris' memory.
- New Theme: This year’s theme will be Rocky, celebrating Chris’ love for ‘80’s movies.
- Special Date: The race aligns with the end of National Police Week, honoring officers lost in the line of duty.
