📅 Date & Location

• Date: August 9, 2025
• Location: Intersection of Rte 819 and Main Street, Slickville, PA
• Registration: Open on race day from 7:00 AM to 8:15 AM
• Start Time: The run/walk begins at 8:30 AM

🏞️ Course Information

• 5k Race: A challenging backcountry route with several hills leading to the "coal mine climb" up the slate mound past the famous Slickville sign that overlooks the town.
• 2 Mile Walk: A much gentler course through town for the first half before returning to the finish on the Westmoreland Heritage Trail.
• View: Watch the runners in their attempt to reach the summit of the race while walking.
• Event Shirt: Sign up early to guarantee receipt of an event sports shirt in your preferred size.

🥞 Pancake Breakfast

• Complimentary: All participants will be treated to a pancake breakfast.
• Special Ingredient: Enjoy genuine maple syrup sourced locally, courtesy of the Slickville Presbyterian Church and Maple Lodge.

🎉 Post-Race Activities

• Awards Ceremony: Takes place around 9:30 AM.
• Other Events: Stay or come back later to check out additional events including a car show, craft and food booths, children's activities, cow patty bingo, and musical entertainment.
• Fireworks: A display will take place shortly after dark.
