About John's Journey

John’s Journey is back for year three, and this year feels especially meaningful.

John is now two years out from his heart transplant, and we are incredibly grateful to share that he is doing great. He is growing stronger, living life, and continuing to remind everyone around him what courage, resilience, and hope can look like.

Our Mission

When John’s Journey first began, it was rooted in gratitude. Gratitude for the doctors, nurses, therapists, specialists, family, friends, and community who carried us through the hardest season of our lives.

• Support Raised: Over the past two years, John’s Journey has helped donate more than $20,000 to support children awaiting transplant at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
• Community Impact: Last year, it gave us the opportunity to use a portion of the donations to support a local family facing their own challenging medical journey.
• Purpose: It is about taking the love, prayers, meals, messages, generosity, and support that were poured into our family and passing them forward.
• Mission Continuation: As we prepare for the third annual John’s Journey 1 Mile Walk / 5K, we are asking our community to join us again.
