South Ridge Trail Challenge

🏞️ Race Overview

The South Ridge Trail Challenge is the region's premier early summer trail race. Taking place on the South Ridge of North Park in Allegheny County, it offers a spectacular array of trails for runners and hikers of all abilities.

This race will offer distances of 5k, 10k and 20k over loose dirt/gravel roads as well as beautiful rocky and root-covered single-track trail.

Participants can pick their distance, back again in 2025, can also choose to be part of the "MAX VERT" challenge.

🏁 Course Details

The course will begin and end near the historic North Park swimming pool, which at one time was the largest public pool in the United States. Runners and walkers will then make their way up, down and around the South Ridge Plateau exploring all the beauty of early summer in Western PA.

• 10K and 20K: 8:00 am
• 5K: 8:15 am
