Snow Globe Run

Race Location

• Date and Time: Saturday, December 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
• Location: Campbell Creek Trail behind the Peanut Farm restaurant.
• Participation: You are invited to run, walk, snowshoe, or cheer.
• Snowshoe Race: Not sure about running in the snow? Try our snowshoe race that will start at 11:15 AM!

Costume Contest

• Theme: Zoo Critters themed costume contest.
• Start Time: Begins at 10:15 AM, before the race.
• Prizes: Best Male, Female, and Group costumes, provided by the Peanut Farm.
• Proceeds: A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Alaska Zoo.

Event Guidelines

• Dogs: Due to insurance requirements, dogs are not allowed and should be left at home.
• Strollers: Strollers are discouraged: if participating, please start at the back.
• Weather: Anticipated snow on the course might affect participation with strollers.

Race Partner

• Collaboration: The Anchorage Running Club is partnering with the Alaska Zoo.
• Proceeds: A portion of race fees and all online donations will support the Alaska Zoo.
• Zoo Admission: Runners can enjoy daytime admission to the Alaska Zoo by presenting a tear-off from their race bib.
• Exclusions: Offer valid during regular daytime hours only: Zoo Lights not included.

Course Information

• Location: Start and finish line on the trail accessible via the Peanut Farm overflow parking lot.
• Course Type: 4K out and back along the Campbell Creek Trail, south for 2K and turns around.
• Terrain: A flat course with little in the way of hills.

Bib Pickup

• Location: The Peanut Farm, 5227 Old Seward Hwy, Anchorage, AK 99518.
• Date: Wednesday, December 9, 2026, from 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM.
• Morning Pickup: Available on race day from 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM.
• Finisher Medal: All participants will receive a finisher medal on race day.

Prizes

• Top Finishers: The top 3 men and women finishers will receive prizes from the Peanut Farm.
• Late Registration: Late registration fees apply for runners registering after 11:59 PM, December 9, 2026.
