Alaska Kid's Splash n' Dash Race Series

Event Overview

3 Tuesday Nights in the Summer

Who

• Ages: 19 and under

What

• Race Types: SwimRun & Dash only kid's races! Racers get to choose which race they’d like to compete in:
• Sea Otters: Swim 50 meters THEN Run .5 miles
• Puffins: Swim 300 meters THEN Run 1 mile
• Dash Only: Run .5 miles

This is a 3 race series event with points so we highly recommend staying in the same race distance for all 3 events. Points do not transfer between distances.

When

• Dates: July 7th, July 14th, and July 21st, 2026
• Time: 6-7:30 pm

Where

• Location: Service High School Pool & run is around Service High School main building.

How to Register

• Sign-Up: Via the registration link. There is NO in-person race registration, everyone must sign-up prior to 12 pm race day.

Race Details

• Fun Factor: This is a super fun, kids only, SwimRun race series at Service High School.
• Race Types: Kids will decide if they want to swim in the shorter “Sea Otters” race or the longer “Puffins” race.
• Sea Otters: A 50 meters, 1 lap swim, followed by a .5 mile run.
• Puffins: A 300 yard, 6 lap swim, transitioning to a 1.0 miles run.

Awards and Prizes

• Finishers: Super fancy finishers medals, and post race snacks for all finishers.
• Shirts: Series racers that sign up by April 15th will receive a race t-shirt.
• Swag: Everyone will receive a swag bag and a custom race bib.
• Awards Party: July 30th, 2025 at Ray Stork Park @ 6 pm, including a FREE family fun run & root beer social.

Kid's Dash

• Run Experience: Our Kid’s Dash is for those that just want to run!
• Distance: Dash racers will run 3 laps, .75 miles.
• Wave Starts: Starting at 3 wave start times, 6 pm, 6:30, or 7 pm.
• Awards: Top 3 Overall Boys/Girls in each age group in the dash series will also receive awards at the awards party.
