Stop the Suffering 5k

Race Overview

The annual 5K run/1 mile walk benefits Stop the Suffering, a 501 (c)(3) based in Columbus, Ohio that saves animals from shelters and other situations in which their lives might be at risk.

Key Statistics

• Adoptions: STS adopts out about 500 dogs a year.
• Transportation: Transports around 4,000 cats and dogs from rural shelters and puppy mills to rescue organizations.
• Support: Sponsors the vet care, boarding expenses, and other costs when needed to help save an animal's life.
• Community Programs: Has a program that helps with many local municipalities' spay and neuter programs to help control the pet population.
