Summit Metro Parks Mother's Day 5K

🏃‍♀️ Celebrate Mom with a 5K!

Run, jog or walk to celebrate mom during this annual 5K from the Summit Metro Parks. The stroller-friendly course for this chip-timed race travels twice around the scenic Munroe Falls Lake. Race proceeds benefit the Summit Metro Parks Foundation.

🚧 Important Course Information

• Entrance Closure: The park’s entrance gate will close at 7:50 a.m.
• Reopening Time: The gate will be re-opened by park police after participants clear the second lap.

👚 Race Packet and Registration Options

• Inclusion: A choice of a race t-shirt or native tree sapling is included with each paid registration, including the 14 & under kids’ category.
• Early Registration: Register early to ensure availability while supplies last.
• Packet Pickup: Pre-race packet pickup is available on Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm.
• Race Day Pickup: Starts at 7 a.m. on the morning of the race.

💰 Registration Fees

• Age 14 and Under: Registration is $10 through race day.
• Age 15 and Older: Registration is tiered by date:
• $20/person through January 14
• $25/person from January 15 through March 14
• $30/person from March 15 through April 14
• $35/person from April 15 through race day
• Morning Registration: Participants may register on the morning of the race but will only be able to do so online (no cash accepted).

📏 Event Rules

• Prohibited Items: Wagons, bikes, scooters, rollerblades, and motorized vehicles are not permitted on the course.
• Pet Policy: Pet spectators (on leashes, 8-foot max) are welcome, but not allowed on the course.
• Age Restriction: Anyone on the course over the age of 5 years must be a registered participant.
• Eligibility: Only registered participants with race bibs are eligible for finisher awards.

🏆 Awards for Top Finishers

• Age Group Awards: The top male and female (1st and 2nd place finishers) for each age group are awarded their name engraved in the Munroe Falls Mother’s Day 5K brick paver walkway.
• Overall Awards: The overall top male and female (1st and 2nd place finishers) are awarded their name engraved in the Munroe Falls Mother’s Day 5K brick walkway.
• Additional Prize: Top finishers will also receive an engraved top finisher brick paver to take home.
• Age Groups: Participants are divided as follows: 14 & under: 15-19 years: 20-29 years: 30-39 years: 40-49 years: 50-59 years: 60-69 years: 70+ years.
