Race Information

Join us at the Annual Tache Realty Wicked Half Marathon in historic Salem, MA! Participants will have a 4 hour time cap to complete this course. The course will offer aid stations every 1.5-2 miles and there will be a ton of cheerful volunteers on the course. Everyone will receive a custom finisher medal that will be a nice addition to your collection. The event attracts close to 1000 runners, including elites to beginners traveling from all over the world. We promise the scenery in Salem and Marblehead will make these miles fly by!!

Packet Pick Up Options

Friday: 11 AM - 2 PM at Longboards Restaurant & Bar (76 Wharf St)
Saturday: 12 PM - 3 PM at B&S Headquarters, 45 Congress Street, Dock 19/20, Shetland Park, Salem MA (GPS: 90 Leavitt St, enter Shetland Park at the end of the street, veer left in the parking lot and look for Dock 19/20 where the stairs are)
Race Day (Sunday): Start at 5:45 AM - 7 AM at the Race Site

Swag

Custom long sleeve shirts and bibs will be provided to participants pre-registered by September 1st. All participants will receive an event finishers medal upon completion. If you wish to purchase any additional swag items, you’ll have that opportunity through the registration process, post-race, or at packet pickup.

Course Time Cap

4 hour time cap beginning at 7 AM. Sunshine start at 6:30 AM will be made available for participants that have a pace slower than 16 min/miles. This will be communicated through the athlete email that will be emailed to you and posted on Wednesday, 9/17.

Water Stations and Bathrooms

The course will offer an Aid Station approximately every 1.5-2 miles or so. Aid stations will have either Gatorade or Water, sometimes both. The water stations at Devereux Beach will have Gu’s, petroleum jelly, and bathrooms. Note, water stations will not be set up until 7 AM so those participating in the unofficial 6:30 AM start should be equipped with nutrition/fuel for the beginning portion of the course.

Parking

There is ample parking in and around the Willows (parking all down in the Willows casino/entertainment area), parking along Fort Avenue and at the Bentley School (25 Memorial Dr) less than 1/2 mile away from the race site. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PARK IN FRONT OF ANY HOUSES OR IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OFF FORT AVE. YOUR CAR WILL BE TOWED. PLEASE OBEY ALL PARKING SIGNS.

Post Race Details

An assortment of homemade and packaged food/drink will be available post-race, including non-alcoholic beer from Heineken and more. We will have Mimosas and a beer tent sponsored by Notch Brewing so bring some cash (Venmo also accepted). Each beer/mimosa is an additional $9. We encourage you to head downtown Salem where there are several restaurants, bars, cafes, and boutique shops worth checking out. We highly recommend Longboards Bar & Restaurant who will be serving up game day specials all day!

At the race site, we’ll have several sponsors/vendors to keep you busy post-event, including the Enjoy Your Life Brand, The Cravery food truck, and coffee from By The Sea Coffee for sale!!

The Tache Realty Wicked Half Marathon will be supporting the Salem Children’s Charity, Fellowship Christian Academy, and the Salem Academy Charter School.
