🦃 Tamarac Turkey Trot Overview

We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. We were looking forward to hosting a record-breaking number of racers at the 15th Annual Tamarac Turkey Trot. We truly appreciate your understanding and patience as we work through the postponement of the Turkey Trot. Below are a few important updates:

• Packet Pick-Up: Packets will continue to be available at Tamarac’s Welcome Desk through the end of December.
• Race Bibs: Please save your race bib for the new race date. If you did not receive a bib, it was removed from your packet once the postponement was announced and will be held for you.

📅 New Race Date

We are excited to announce MARCH 28, 2026, will be our rescheduled race date. More details to come on the in-person and virtual race options.

We hope you will continue to include the Tamarac Turkey Trot in your annual family Thanksgiving tradition in years to come. Please know that the funds raised from this race will continue to support health and fitness initiatives for our community.

🎉 Celebration of 15 Years

• Tamarac Turkey Trot is celebrating 15 years!
• Please register for the Race by October 15 to guarantee race sweatshirt and shirt size.
• Note: NO Race Day Registration in 2025
• Kids 11 and under can register to race for free in Kids 5K &: Kids 1.5 mile (with no shirt provided).
• Choose Kids 5K or Kids 1.5 Mile Walk

🗓️ Event Details

Join us on Thanksgiving Day as Tamarac continues the Turkey Trot tradition in Fremont, Michigan! This event is fun for the whole family!

All 5K, 10K, 1.5 Mile participants are chip timed. All 10K will start at 8 am. All 5K will start at 8:05 am. 5K Walkers are asked to start at the back of the line behind the runners. 1.5-mile walk/run start immediately following the 5K runners.

🏆 Awards

• Finisher Gift: All participants will receive a finisher gift upon crossing the finish line.
• Overall and Age Group Awards: 10K and 5K: Overall awards, masters’ awards, and 1st in age group for 10K and 1st, 2nd, &: 3rd for 5K and Kids 5K.
• Age Groups:
  • 10K: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 +:
  • 5K: 12-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+:
  • NEW THIS YEAR: Kids 5K: 5 -7. 8-9. 10-11
