Event Overview

Before you dive into that delicious Thanksgiving feast, hit the streets for a fantastic 2 or 5-mile run! Starting at the iconic Blue Cross Arena, you'll dash through downtown Rochester on an out-and-back course that's famously flat, fabulously fast, and fun for every member of the family. Cruise towards the University of Rochester campus and zoom back to glory! We've got awesome prizes for our speediest overall champs, top master runners, and age group stars! Are you unable to make it to the race but still want to be part of the fun? Register for the virtual option, and we'll send you your race shirt.

Discounts and Special Offers

• Member Discount: Members of The Medved Endurance Project receive $5.00 off the entry fee.
• Thanksgiving Pies: Starting February 1st, visit the Feast Runsignup Store to order your Thanksgiving Pies from Special Touch Bakery. Pies will be available for pickup on Tuesday, November 24th, from 10 am to 6 pm.

Packet Pickup

• Pre-Race Pickup: Packet pickup will be at Medved Running and Walking Outfitters on Tuesday, November 24th, and Wednesday, November 25th, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
• Race Day Pickup: There will be a narrow window for Race Day packet pickup at The Blue Cross Arena starting at 7:45 am through 8:30 am.
• Recommendation: We STRONGLY suggest that you pick up your packet at Medved on Tuesday or Wednesday to minimize race day lines.

Race Day Timeline

• 7:45-8:30 am: Packet Pickup
• 8:30 am: The Kids 1/2-mile Fun Run starts
• 9:00 am: The 5-mile race starts
• 9:20 am: The 2-mile race starts
• 10:00 am: Awards Table Opens

Frequently Asked Questions

• Can I still register? Yes! Registration (online ONLY) closes at 8:00 am on Thanksgiving Day.
• Can I switch race distances? Yes. You may switch between the 2-mile and 5-mile events: however, you must notify registration on race day so we can update our timing system and ensure your results are accurate.
• Race Day PPU: Will be open from 7:45 to 8:30 am.
• Race Start Times:
  • The 1/2 mile Kids Fun Run starts at 8:30 am.
  • The 5-Mile Race starts at 9:00 am.
  • The 2-Mile Race starts at 9:20 am.
• Pre-Race Announcements: Will begin at 8:45 am.
• Can I pick up someone else's bib/shirt? Yes.
• Can I switch my shirt size? Please bring your shirt to race day, and we can exchange it if there are any leftovers after all registrations and PPUs have been completed.

  • 5 Mile - Yes, at the mid-course turnaround point. Water only: no GU, gels, etc.
• Can I run with my dog? Due to insurance regulations, dogs are not permitted in the race.
• Can I run with my stroller? You are welcome to run with your stroller, but we request that you start near the back of the pack.
• Award Structure:
  • Top 3 Overall Male/Female/Non-Binary, Masters Male/Female/Non-Binary, and Top Age Group winners all receive Pies from Special Touch Bakery.
  • 2nd Place Age Group winners receive a Medved Gift Certificate.
  • 3rd Place Age Group winners receive a Medved Gift Certificate.
