The Huntley Historical Society - Sew Hop'd Beer Mile

Race Format

• Individual Race: Four 1/4 mile laps, runners drink a 12 ounce beer before each lap (drink, run, drink, run, drink, run, drink, run).
• Relay Option: Get your friends and run the relay! Four team members, each drinks a 12 ounce beer and runs 1 lap (drink, run, tag the next team member).
• Heats: No more than 16 participants will start every 30 minutes.
• Rain or Shine: The event will occur regardless of weather conditions.

Registration and Packet Pickup

• Packet Pickup: Saturday, July 25th, starts at 1 PM.
• Discount: Save $10 when signing up for both the Full Beer Mile and the Relay Mile in the same transaction.
• Registration Prices: After July 20: $75 for Beer Mile, $55 for Relay.
• T-Shirt Guarantee: If you sign up after July 4, we cannot guarantee you will receive a t-shirt in your size.

Course Information

• Start Times: Beer Mile starts with the first Relay Team Heat at 2 PM, Individual Beer Mile Heats at 3 PM and 3:30 PM.
• Course: A quarter mile loop on a paved parking lot.
• Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age on Event Date to participate.
• No Refunds: This event is a fundraiser, so no refunds will be issued in case of cancellation.

Awards

• Top Awards: Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female.
• Age Group: Awards for different age groups.
• DFL Awards: Male and Female DFL (Dead Freaking Last) Beer Mile.
• Relay Awards: Top 3 Relay Teams and DFL.

Additional Information

• Food and Music: Food Trucks on site from 11 AM to 8 PM, Live Music from 6 PM to 8 PM.
• Raffles: All beer milers will be automatically entered in a raffle for 2 gift baskets from Rookies and a gift basket from Sew Hop'd.

• Event Safety: If it rains prior to the start time, Packet Pickup will be held inside the Sew Hop'd Brewery.
