🍺 The Huntley Historical Society - Sew Hop'd Beer Mile

Join us on July 25, 2026, at 1 Union Special Plaza, Huntley, IL for an exciting beer mile event! The race consists of four 1/4 mile laps where runners drink a 12 oz beer before each lap (drink, run, drink, run, drink, run, drink, run). All participants must drink the beer provided by the event. Heats will consist of no more than 16 participants and will start every 30 minutes. This event benefits The Huntley Historical Society. RAIN OR SHINE!

📅 Event Details

• Packet Pickup: Saturday, July 25th, starts at 1 PM.
• Relay Team Heats: First Relay Team Heat at 2 PM, second heat at 2:30 PM, signup for a heat when you check in.
• Individual Heats: 3 PM and 3:30 PM, signup for a heat when you check in.
• Registration Prices: After July 20: $75 for Beer Mile, $55 for Relay.

If you sign up after July 7, we cannot guarantee you will get a t-shirt, we will do our best to get you one in the correct size.

🌮 Event Amenities

• Food Trucks: On-site from 11 AM to 8 PM.
• Live Music: From 6 PM to 8 PM, bring the family and a lawn chair!
• Raffles: Participate to win exciting prizes!
• Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age on Event Date to participate in the beer mile.

🏁 Course and Safety

Beer Mile will be held RAIN OR SHINE! The course features a quarter mile loop on a paved parking lot.
