Race Description

• Inspiration: Run inspired by the beauty of the Painted Hills and the majesty of the Tucson Mountains, with panoramic views of the Tucson Basin.
• Course: The 10k course starts at Pima College West and cruises the iconic rolling hills of the Tucson Mountains near scenic Starr Pass and Gates Pass.
• Updated 5k Course: An out-and-back format providing more room for runners and walkers!
• Staging Area: Located in the shaded middle courtyard at Pima Community College, West Campus, with pre-race and post-race activities including music, activities, and snacks & food trucks.

Course Details

• Scenery: Enjoy beautiful desert scenery with a sunrise over the Tucson Mountains.
• Accessibility: Chair friendly - smooth surfaces on challenging hills.
• Beneficiaries: Funds raised support the Southern Arizona Roadrunners and the BEYOND-Tucson Foundation.
• Event Team: Produced by Run Tucson and the Southern Arizona Roadrunners, with RRCA race director certification.

2026 Schedule

Saturday, September 12: Registration and Packet Pickup

• Time: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.
• Location: The Running Shop, 3055 North Campbell Ave.
• Packet Pickup: All race bib numbers for the 10k and 5k will be at the Running Shop.
• Shirts: First come, first served for shirt sizing in women's and unisex cuts.

Sunday, September 13: Race Morning Schedule

• Early Registration: 5:30 - 6:00 am at Pima Community College West race site.
• Race Timing: Chip time for age-group awards: Gun-time for prize money awards.
• Start Time: 6:15 am for TMC 5k Race, 6:25 am for TMC 10k Run/Walk.
• Awards: Approximately 8:30 am for finish line closure and awards distribution.

Souvenir Shirts and Medals

• Availability: First 1000 registrants receive shirts and medals.
• Pickup: Items can be picked up on race weekend or by someone else.
• Post-race: Items for those unable to attend will be available at The Running Shop through the end of September.
• T-shirt Sizing: First come, first served.
