TMC Tucson 10k

Race Overview

• Inspiration: Run inspired by the beauty of the Painted Hills and the majesty of the Tucson Mountains, with panoramic views of the Tucson Basin.
• Course: The 10k course starts at Pima College West and cruises the iconic rolling hills of the Tucson Mountains near scenic Starr Pass and Gates Pass.
• Updated Route: The updated 5k course is an out-and-back with more room for runners and walkers!
• Staging Area: Staging is in the shaded middle courtyard at Pima Community College, West Campus, providing an enjoyable space for pre-race and post-race activities of music, activities, and snacks & food trucks.

Scenic Features

• Desert Scenery: Beautiful desert scenery with sunrise over the Tucson Mountains.
• Accessibility: Chair friendly - smooth surfaces on challenging hills.
• Beneficiaries: The TMC Tucson 10k provides funds to the Southern Arizona Roadrunners and the BEYOND-Tucson Foundation.
• Race Directors: Developed by Tucson's premier event producing team, Run Tucson, and produced in partnership with Arizona's largest non-profit running club, the Southern Arizona Roadrunners.

2026 Schedule

• Saturday, September 12: Registration and Packet Pickup from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at The Running Shop, 3055 North Campbell Ave.
• Race Bibs: All race bib numbers for the 10k and 5k will be inside the Running Shop.
• Packet Pickup: Pickup options include collecting items for friends, while limiting the number if it is crowded.
• Shirt Sizing: First come, first served for new sublimated shirts available in "women's cut" and "unisex" cut.

Race Day Schedule

• Sunday, September 13: Registration and Packet Pickup from 5:30 - 6:00 am at Pima Community College West race site.
• Start Announcements: 6:10 am for start line announcements and National Anthem.
• 5k Start: 6:15 am for TMC 5k Race -- for all ages, all abilities, all bodies.
• 10k Start: 6:25 am for TMC 10k Run/Walk -- for all ages, all abilities, all bodies -- no prize money.

Awards and Finish Line

• Finish Line Closes: Approximately at 8:30 am.
• Awards Ceremony: Approximately at 8:30 am for TMC 10k and 5k Age Group awards courtesy of The Running Shop.
• Prize Money: TMC 10k Prize Money courtesy of TMC and Run Tucson.

Souvenir Shirts and Medals

• Availability: Souvenir shirts and medals for the first 1000 registrants will be available at both packet pick-up times.
• Pickup Options: If you miss race day, you can have someone pick up your items or collect them later at The Running Shop through the end of September.
• T-shirt Sizing: First-come, first-served while supplies last.
• Post-race Availability: Items for registrants who cannot make race weekend will be available at The Running Shop.
