What is a Tunnel To Towers Run & Walk?

• Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series honors the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001.
• Event's Goal: Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military.
• Community Focus: This will be the 6th year in Sheboygan, WI, aiming to bring together the community to honor first responders.

How far is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?

• Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles) event that can be walked or run.
• Open Participation: Anyone can run, walk, or experience this event.

Where can I pick up my packet?

• Pickup Times: Packets can be picked up the morning of the run starting at 7am.
• Closing Time: Registration will close at 8:30 AM on the morning of the run.
• Advance Pickup: Packets can also be picked up the day prior between 4 PM and 6 PM at 3911 County Road Y, Sheboygan WI 53083.

Can I register the day of the run?

• Registration: Yes, registration will open at 7am on the morning of the run.
• No Cash: Please note there will be NO CASH on site and all registrations must be completed online.

Is there parking available?

• Parking Location: Yes, parking is available in the park parking lot.
• Avoid Firehouse Lot: Please avoid parking in the firehouse lot.
• Overflow Options: We will have overflow parking lots available with shuttles if needed.

Do I have to wear my bib number?

• Display Requirement: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment.
• Consequences: Those who run without a bib will be asked to leave the course and will not be allowed to finish.

Will there be awards for running?

• Simple Awards: Yes, awards are based on firefighters, police, or military running in gear.
• Event Intent: This event is intended to be an experience and much more than a run.
• Event Status: The event is timed.

Will water be available?

• Water Stations: Yes, water stations will be available along the route.
• Firehouse Availability: There will be water available inside the firehouse.

Can I run with a stroller, backpack, wheelchair, roller blades, bicycle, etc?

• Permitted Items: Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted.
• Allowed Gear: Firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are also permitted.
• Personal Items: Please leave all personal items and valuables in your vehicle.
• Responsibility: Tunnel to Towers Foundation will not be responsible for the loss of any items.

Does my registration fee count towards my fundraising goal?

• Fee Exclusion: Your registration fee does not count toward the fundraising goal.

Can someone else pick up my packet for me?

• Authorized Pickup: Yes, they can. They must present a copy of your registration receipt.
• Gratitude: And don’t forget to thank them!

Can I still donate to a team and/or individual after the start of the race?

• Donation Period: Yes. Donations will be accepted for 6 weeks after the event.

Can I get a refund?

• No Refunds: We do not provide refunds for the event regardless of the situation.

• Volunteering: It’s simple! Email us at sheboygan@t2t.org.
• Response Time: We will reply within 24 hours.

Do registrants get receipts?

• Automatic Receipt: When you register online you should automatically receive a receipt.
• Payment Method: If paying in cash, receipt available upon request.

Is there medical staff available on-site?

• Emergency Medical Service: Yes, there will be an Emergency Medical Service team available on site.
• Communication: Radio communication available on the course to assist EMS.
