• Event: 17th Annual Veterans Marathon, Half-Marathon, and Heroes 5K

🇺🇸 Event Purpose

• Honor Veterans: A superb event honoring our nation’s Veterans.
• Community Spirit: Located in the heart of northeast Indiana with true Hoosier values.
• Race Experience: Flags will be waving, a gently rolling countryside course, and a memorable race.
• Beneficiaries: 50% of profits to AMVETS post 2919: 25% donated to Columbia City Fire Department.

• Marathon Start: 8:00 am Eastern Standard Time
• Half-Marathon Start: 8:00 am Eastern Standard Time
• Heroes 5K Start: 8:15 am Eastern Standard Time
• Course Close: Half-Marathon and Full Marathon close at 2:00 pm

🏅 Course Details

• Marathon: 2 Loops, USATF Certification #: IN17015TDK
• Half Marathon: USATF Certification #: IN17014TDK
• Heroes 5K Close: Course will close by 10:00 am
• Team Challenge: 3 person team challenge for a unique "Hero-based" award.

🥣 Post-Race Festivities

• Location: All festivities take place in the Clugston at the Finish line, across from the courthouse.
• Free Food: Hot soup donated by Columbia City’s Elks Lodge #1417 and VFW post 5582.
• Soup Varieties: Chicken Noodle, Vegetarian Vegetable, Chili
• Awards: Unique awards made from limestone mined in Bloomington, Indiana for the Top 2 in each division.
