The Waldwick Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the 18th Annual Waldwick Chamber of Commerce 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk, taking place on Sunday, May 3, 2026.

This year’s race promises to be bigger and better than ever as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. Get ready for a race day filled with excitement, celebration, and community spirit.

Course Details

• Certification: USATF-NJ certified 5K course.
• Scenery: Winding through scenic Waldwick Borough Park.
• Finish Line: A thrilling finish on the Waldwick High School track.
• Motivation: More than 50 inspirational signs along the route.

Competition and Awards

• Grand Prix Event: Attracts participants of all levels for fast and spirited competition.
• Awards: Overall winners and top three age-category finishers receive a 1776-themed commemorative medal.
• Tech Shirts: Special commemorative tech t-shirts for participants who register by April 24th.
• Goodies: First 400 registered runners or walkers receive a goody backpack bag filled with race-day essentials.

Patriotic Costume Contest

• Theme: 1776-themed Patriotic Costume Contest.
• Participation: Calling all running patriots to show off your best Revolutionary-era costume.
• Prizes: Awards for the top three most creative and patriotic outfits.
• Celebration: Dress up, stand out, and celebrate in true red, white, and blue style.

Community Involvement

• Charity: A portion of proceeds will be donated to local causes like Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and others.
• Partnership: Continuing partnership with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for children's cancer advocacy.
• Previous Success: Last year’s event raised $40,000 for over 40 local organizations.
• Honoring Heroes: Dedicated to the memory of fallen heroes from the community.
