Join in the Thanksgiving holiday fun with your friends at the Waynesboro Family YMCA on Thanksgiving morning. For more than 60 years, Waynesboro Family YMCA has continuously evolved to meet the changing needs of our community. At every opportunity, we've shifted our programs & our focus so the Y can continue to do what we do best: stand as an ally & a leader in community action & support. Because we’re way more than a gym.

⏰ Start Times

• 8:15am: Gobbler 1 Mile (Kids event ages 3-10)
• 9:00am: 5k Run & Walk START
• VIRTUAL 5k: RACE ANYWHERE / ANYTIME - NOVEMBER 28th THRU December 1st
• Registration: Closes for all events Wednesday, November 26th at 7:00pm

💲 Entry Fees

• Gobbler 1 Mile (3-10 years old): $15 (thru Nov. 16th) || $20 (Nov. 17 - Nov. 26) || Add a shirt for an additional $10.00
• 5k Run & Walk: $30 (thru Nov. 16th) || $35 (Nov. 17 - Nov. 26)
• Youth 5k (5-12 years old): $15 (thru Nov. 16th) || $20 (Nov. 17 - Nov. 26) || Add a shirt for an additional $10.00
• VIRTUAL 5K: $30 (thru Nov. 16th) || $35 (Nov. 17 - Nov. 26)

📅 Registration Details

• Non-Transferable: Registration fees are non-transferable & non-refundable.
• Immediate Family Pricing: Save $2.00 per entry when registering a family of 4 or more immediate family members.
• Paper Registration: Not available.
• Shirts: Guaranteed for participants registered on or before November 5th.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Location: Waynesboro Family YMCA
• No Race Day Pickup: Tuesday, November 25th, 3-7pm & Wednesday, November 26th, 3-7pm
• Mailing Option: Available for Virtual 5k participants only for an additional fee of $15.00.
• Safety: For the safety of the event, pets and strollers must line up at the back of the start.

🏅 Awards

• 1 Mile Finishers: Receive a FINISHER MEDAL.
• 5K Awards: Top 3 Overall Male and Female, Top Master Male and Female, and top 5 in each age group.
• Stuffed Turkey: Awarded to our top Overall Boy and Girl in the Gobbler 1 Mile.
• No Awards: Given for the virtual event.

📊 Results Submission for Virtual 5K

• Event Dates: Complete your event anywhere in the world, Thursday November 28th thru Sunday December 1st.
• Results Upload: Participants can upload their results directly to our RunSignUp Results page or by text message.
• Finishers Medal: All participants will receive a finisher medal.
• Mailing Packet: Available for an additional fee of $15.00 for those registered by November 16th.

🏁 Race Numbers

Race numbers should be worn on the front of your shirt or jacket and visible throughout the event.
