STOMP OUT THE STIGMA is all about raising awareness of mental wellness and eliminating the stigma surrounding mental illness. Join us in the fastest, flat 5k route in the area or a nice 1 mile race around Waughop Lake.

• Date: August 9, 2026
• Location: 9401 Farwest Drive SW, Lakewood, WA
• 5k Race Start: By the lake at Fort Steilacoom Park
• 1 Mile Race Start: At the entrance of Waughop Lake

Course Information

• 5k Route: Fast and flat course, mostly paved
• 1 Mile Route: Scenic lap around the lake, mostly paved
• Accessibility: Easy parking at Pierce College Fort Steilacoom campus
• Trail Access: Short walk down a trail to Fort Steilacoom Park

Race Entry Benefits

• Registration Bonus: Includes a race shirt if registered by 7/21
• Finisher Medals: Given to the first 200 finishers
• Timing: The 5k race is chip timed
