Event Overview

Join us for the Team Jenny 5K on June 27, 2026, at 600 St. Joseph Street, Fremont, OH. This race is held in honor of Jenny Burroughs, who endured a life-changing accident in June 2017.

About Jenny's Journey

• Background: Jenny Burroughs was involved in a serious accident in June of 2017 in Pittsburgh, PA.
• Injuries: She suffered 3rd degree burns over 30% of her body, multiple broken bones, lacerations, severe head trauma, including brain hemorrhaging, and a blood clot in the brain.
• Support: During her multiple hospital stays, Jenny and her husband Greg received tremendous support from friends and family.
• Recovery: After five months and more than a dozen surgeries, including multiple skin grafts, Jenny was finally released from her 4th hospital.

Purpose of the 5K

• Community Initiative: In the spirit of giving back, Jenny decided to organize an annual 5K race.
• Support Local Families: Proceeds from the race are donated to local families experiencing similar medical hardships in Fremont, OH.
• Connection to Hometown: The race reflects Jenny's roots and her desire to help her community.
• Annual Tradition: Each year, the Team Jenny 5K aims to inspire hope and support for families in need.
